Overview
Auto attendants route calls by schedule. Holiday drift (floating dates, client-specific closures) causes “why are we closed on Tuesday?” incidents.
Template contents
- CSV of named closures with date ranges and alternate greeting audio file IDs.
- Fallback behavior: voicemail vs cell tree vs outsourced answering service.
- Timezone column per site—never assume “company is Eastern.”
Annual maintenance
January task: sync with HR published calendar; upload refreshed WAV/MP3 (normalize levels −16 LUFS integrated for consistency).
Testing
Place test calls before and after toggle from a PSTN number—Teams client self-tests miss some PSTN edge cases.
Governance
Change ticket required for production AA edits; store recording script text for accessibility and compliance reviews.
